Waste Management

In KACC, we focus on managing waste production by promoting reduction, reuse and recycling activities. Reducing waste will not only protect the environment but will also save on costs or reduce expenses for disposal. In the same way, recycling and/or reusing the waste that is produced benefits the environment by lessening the need to extract resources and lowering the potential for contamination.

Community Building

In KACC, we focus on the well-being of our employees and, at the same time, contribute to our society. We believe that employee management strategy is crucial because a business runs efficiently when its people are managed efficiently and provided with enough support, such as benefits and education.  Besides, we intend to continue growing shareholder value meaningfully and responsibly - by actively contributing to our local communities through CSR activities.

Digitalization

Digitalization is the process of leveraging digital technologies to transform a business model, creating new revenue streams and value-producing opportunities. This involves integrating digital tools and systems into various aspects of a business’s operations, from management and communication to production and customer service. In KACC, we utilise digital systems to achieve sustainable growth in the long term through a paperless system.

Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy

⦁ Bribery and corruption in all its forms related to KACC’s activities are prohibited.

⦁ Bribery and corruption may take the form of anything of value, such as money, goods, services, property, privilege, employment position or preferential treatment. KACC personnel and its business associates shall not, therefore, whether directly or indirectly, offer, give, receive or solicit any item of value in the attempt to illicitly influence the decisions or actions of a person in a position of trust within an organisation, either for the intended benefit of KACC or the persons involved in the transaction.

⦁ The anti-bribery and corruption statement applies equally to its business dealings with commercial (‘private sector’) and Government (‘public sector’) entities. It includes their directors, personnel, agents and other appointed representatives. Even the possible appearance of bribery or corruption is to be avoided, particularly when dealing with Government officials.

⦁ The anti-bribery and corruption statement applies to all countries worldwide, without exception and concerning regional customs, local practices or competitive conditions.

⦁ No employee or external party will suffer demotion, penalty or other adverse consequences in retaliation for refusing to pay, receive bribes, or participate in other illicit behaviour.

⦁ KACC is also committed to conducting due diligence checks against relevant authorities’ database including but not limited to PDRM, SSM, LHDN etc. on prospective personnel, particularly as it relates to appointments to positions where any criminal records or more than minor bribery or corruption, risk has been identified.

Policy Statement

KACC CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD (KACC) is committed to upholding a high standard of ethical behaviour and integrity in the conduct of its businesses and operations. Recognising these values, KACC provides a platform for all employees and members of the public to disclose any suspected misconduct.

Objective of the Policy

To provide an avenue for all employees of KACC and members of the public who have concerns about suspected misconduct to come forward at the earliest opportunity so that concerns can be raised without fear of reprisal or retaliation and to provide protection for whistleblowers who report such allegations.

Scope of the Policy

To invalidate the Grievance Procedure and/or the disciplinary action process but to provide more avenues for employees and public members to disclose misconduct or about to be committed to KACC. Misconduct, if proven, constitutes a disciplinary action or a criminal offence. Such misconduct includes the following:

• Fraud, corruption, bribery and blackmail;
• Abuse of Power;
• Conflict of Interest;
• Theft of embezzlement;
• Misuse of Company’s funds or assets;
• Violation of laws and regulations;
• Any intentional act deliberately designed to cause loss to KACC;
• An act or omission which endangers the safety of employees or the public or the environment; and
• Concealment of any of the above

The above list is not exhaustive and only serves as a guideline for the type of offence that is considered as misconduct.

Raising a Concern

Suspected misconduct must be disclosed in writing using the Whistleblower Reporting Form and sent directly via e-mail to speakupwarga@gmail.com. To ensure the confidentiality and impartiality of your report, the email is hosted on an independent platform and will be channelled directly to the Whistleblowing Council.

Protection for the Whistleblower

KACC recognises that anonymity to whistleblowers who willingly report suspicion of misconduct is key to encouraging such reporting. However, to prevent false and malicious reporting, poison letters and abuse of the reporting channel, all whistleblowers must provide sufficient evidence (such as documents, images, footage, audio, email, text messages, etc.) in their report to show that misconduct has taken place.

KACC assures that all reports will be promptly investigated and treated strictly confidentially save for disclosure on a "need to know" basis to facilitate investigations and/or meet the appropriate actions following such investigation. Incidents of retaliation against any individual reporting a violation or assisting in investigations will result in appropriate disciplinary action. The Whistleblower Council will ensure that the investigation uses appropriate channels, resources, and expertise.
